Managed Health Care (MHC) Plans
McLean Pediatrics participates in most commercial medical health care plans. We may, however, become participants in other health care programs.
Your insurance carrier requires that you bring your plan insurance card with you each time you bring your infant, child or young adult to our office. All new patients must contact and provide our insurance specialist with their plan information prior to their visit. If your insurance information changes or there are any adjustments (such as group number or co-pay fee) that information must be provided to us prior to your visit.
For example, If a nanny or another child-care worker accompanies your child to our office, please allow them to bring the insurance card with them. In addition, the person bringing the child to our office must be prepared to pay the appropriate co-pay at each visit. This is a contractual requirement with your insurance plan
For individual self-pay or non-insured patients, we offer established "self-pay rates." With regard to payment for our services by patients with a non-participating insurance plan, we will expect payment for such services when rendered.
